Curriculum

Children are encouraged to develop their mathematical skills through counting and various other games. Number – Children will learn counting, addition, subtraction, order numbers, problem solving, etc. They will be able to count from 1 to 20 and place the numbers in order. Shape, space and measure – Children will learn about shapes weight, spaces, distance, time, etc. They can use this knowledge to describe the shapes of the everyday objects.

Children will be encouraged to link sounds and letters. They will learn to read and write through various songs, rhymes and other activities. Reading – Children will fall in love with books. The books will be full of pictures, which will ignite their interest and this will help them in reading. Children are encouraged to share with others what they have learnt and also decode regular words. Writing – Children will start by writing alphabets and then proceed to write complete words and their own names. They will be able to read what they write. We help children in enhancing their concentration and prepare them for KS1.

Children will be encouraged to explore with a huge range of media and materials. They will be encouraged to be creative and have fun while singing and dancing. Also, they are free to experiment with different form, design, colour, texture, and function.

Children will be guided to understand the world, technology and the communities. They will be made to discover, and understand all this through various activities. They soon will know about similarities and differences between themselves and others, and start observing animals and plants around them. They will also understand about different technology that is used in their school and daycare.

Listening – Children learn the power of listening. They listen to different stories and rhymes every day and try to understand at their level. Understanding – Various educational games are introduced to stimulate learning among children. The kids are encouraged to ask questions and describe what they understand. Speaking – Children are encouraged to express themselves and to speak in numerous situations.

Body Movement – This includes activities like – climbing, running, jumping, etc., which helps the kids in enhancing their control and coordination skills. We make sure that the kids learn by exploring. We provide sensory toys & games to help the kids build concepts and test ideas. Healthy life – Children learn about the significance of a well-balanced diet and physical exercise. They get to enjoy one or the other kind of outdoor activity every day. They learn the importance of maintaining good hygiene and clean habits.

Relationship building – We, at Tess’s Tots make sure to provide a happy, and safe environment where kids learn to build new while playing together with each other. We make sure children learn how to behave in groups and learn to have confidence in their own abilities. Self-confidence – We, at Tess’s Tots make sure that our children grow on to become independent and confident individuals. All our activities are based on the concept of “keep on try” & “yes you can”. This encourages the students and helps them with their goals.
